Sunday, October 2, 2011 MiWay, the new Mississauga Transit is currently taking delivery of 43 XD40s from New Flyer of Winnipeg, MB. It has become common for buses for the Greater Toronto Area market finished at New Flyer's plants in Winnipeg to be delivered using Ontario Highways 17 and 69. As a result, I was able to catch 1135 on Highway 17 in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. Many thanks to the Sault Ste. Marie Transit operator of an MCI Classic who was kind enough to wait for me while I ran off his bus and took the second and third of these photos. Saturday, August 27, 2011 St. Catharines Transit in St. Catharines, ON has become the second buyer after Rutgers University to purchase some of New Flyer's ex-OC Transpo D60LFs that were traded in as part of a 306 bus order for D60LFRs in 2010. 1160 (ex-OC Transpo 6339) and 1162 (ex-6328) are pictured at St. Catharines Transit's garage. 1161, photographed by another transit enthusiast, was inside. Thursday, December 30, 2010 Hamilton Street Railway's downtown terminal at Gore Park ceased to exist at the end of service January 1, 2011, with the move to the MacNab Transit Terminal. I managed to take some photos with the extensive Christmas light display at Gore Park before the closure. VIEW 2010 EXPRESS ROUTE ARCHIVE © 2010-2011 David Vincent |
